Basel Zayed Jerusalem, Palestine.

A Palestinian composer and singer, born in Jerusalem in the year 1979. In the year 2004 he formed Turab the group where he expressed the love for his homeland through his original compositions which came from a long experience in Arabic Music with other styles like Jazz, Pop, and western classical music.


He is the primary composer for Turab, and composed all of the songs on “Hada Leil.” He has also composed music for numerous films, plays, and dance ensembles. In addition to composing and performing in Turab, Zayed also performs with a trio of Piano and Violin and Percussion.

Zayed also sings with his oriental group Takht a nice program of classical Arabic music.
